The Norther consortium has confirmed MHI Vestas as turbine supplier after taking a final investment decision (FID) for the 370MW offshore wind array in Belgium.
The announcement came just a day after Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp. said it entered a 50/50 joint venture together with Dutch utility Eneco for half of the project. The other half is owned by Belgian energy and technology services provider Nethys, a unit of renewables IPP Elicio.
