Marine contractor A2Sea has lifted into place the final blade on the last of 32 MHI Vestas V164 turbines being installed at Dong Energy's 258MW Burbo Banks Extension (BBE) wind farm in the Irish Sea off Britain.
The project, located water depths down to 17 metres off Liverpool, represents the first deployment of the 8MW machines, currently the most powerful wind turbine in the world.
