Just a day after a consortium it's part of won the Borssele 3&4 offshore tender in the Netherlands, Mitsubishi Corp. is expanding its European offshore wind presence further by buying a 25% stake in the 370MW Norther project off Belgium via its UK subsidiary, Diamond Generation Europe.
Japanese group Mitsubishi has established a 50/50 joint venture with Dutch utility Eneco that will hold 50% of the shares in Norther, while Belgian energy and technology services provider Nethys will hold the other half.
