New England utility Eversource Energy has bought a 50% stake in Dong Energy’s Bay State wind zone in US waters, telling Recharge it believes future offshore wind farms will offer the "lowest cost" solution for its customers.
Eversource – which owns a handful of utilities that provide electricity and gas throughout three states in the northeastern US – has acquired a 50% ownership in the Bay State project, the companies announced Wednesday.
