Boralex, the Montréal-based renewables operator, has agreed to buy out Enercon’s stake in the 230MW Niagara Region wind farm in Ontario in a deal worth C$238.5m ($182m), and upped its 2020 contracted capacity target to 2GW.
Last month Boralex said it would buy a 25% stake in the newly completed Niagara Region wind farm, but it has instead decided to buy the project outright from long-time partner Enercon.
