Spanish turbine manufacturer Gamesa has reached 2GW in Brazil, accounting for 17% of the country’s 11GW installed capacity with its G97 and G114 2MW to 2.5MW platforms – and now it wants to be leader, says the company’s Brazil country manager Edgard Corrochano.

“We are working to lead the market,” he said at the official inauguration of its 1,000th machine in the 231MW São Benedito and Campos dos Ventos wind complex, built by local developer CPFL Renováveis.
