China General Nuclear (CGN) has strengthened its European renewables base with the purchase of a 230MW Irish wind portfolio.
CGN bought 184MW at 10 operating projects and 46MW at a late development stage from local utility Gaelectric.
The projects are split between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and mark CGN’s first foray into either country.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
