The emerging potential of Taiwan’s offshore wind market has been underlined by the appointment of Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) by an unnamed regional renewables developer to explore the use of different turbine installation vessel models off the Southeast Asian country.
London-headquartered OWC’s contract, its first in the Taiwanese sector, will encompass technical due diligence services aimed at assessing “vessel suitability” for a range of wind turbines in the Taiwan Strait.
