The emerging potential of Taiwan’s offshore wind market has been underlined by the appointment of Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) by an unnamed regional renewables developer ​to explore the use of different turbine installation vessel models off the Southeast Asian country.

London-headquartered OWC’s contract, its first in the Taiwanese sector, will encompass technical due diligence services aimed at assessing “vessel suitability” for a range of wind turbines in the Taiwan Strait.
