Argentina’s renewable energy tenders have attracted new players not only to the country, but to the region – among them France’s EREN Renewable Energy.

The renewable arm of EREN Groupe, an industrial services group, has won its first wind contracts there and now plans to reach 500MW in renewable capacity in the region over the next five years.

The company, which was already offering PV power engineering services in neighbouring Brazil, started to look at Argentina in 2015 before the election of president Mauricio Macri.
