After its pace-setting two auctions for the four Borssele sites, the Netherlands plans to hold its next offshore wind auction for a 700MW area just off its capital city The Hague in the third quarter of 2017 – probably in September.
The government expects a ministerial order (decree) for offshore wind in 2017 to be published during the second quarter of the year that will set out the final requirements for a license application in the Hollandse Kust South 1&2 zone to ensure companies can fully prepare for a tender submission.
