Enel and GE unit plan JV for 1.2GW in North American assets

Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA) and GE Energy Financial Services have signed an agreement of intent to turn an already existing partnership covering close to half of Enel’s North American generation assets into a 50/50 joint venture.

Under the transaction, EGPNA will reduce its stake in the unit containing the assets, EGPNA Renewable Energy Partners (EGPNA REP), from its current 51% to 50%, while GE Energy Financial Services will raise its stake to 50% from its current 49%.
