General Motors extended its automotive industry leadership in wind energy procurement in North America with a new 50MW deal that will enable its large truck assembly and stamping complex in Arlington, Texas, to be powered entirely with renewable electricity.
GM says the transaction with Renewable Energy Systems involves procuring one-third of the 150MW Cactus Flats project nameplate capacity in central Texas starting in the first half of 2018.
