The French government in a legislative decree has confirmed 2018 to 2023 targets for various renewable energy technologies, but did not specify how to reach a reduction in nuclear power to 50% of the country’s electricity by 2025 from some 75% now.
The much delayed decree confirms the targets laid down in a multi annual energy plan (PPE) through 2023 and aims at fulfilling the goals laid down of a energy transition law passed in August 2015.
