The global pace-setting growth of China’s renewable energy build-out will slow its tempo next year as the country's target for wind power installations is downscaled to 210GW from the 250GW aimed at earlier in 2016, according to latest research from consultancy MAKE.

MAKE downgraded its ten-year outlook for China by 6.5% from 2016 to 2025 for both installed and grid-connected wind power capacity, in the light of the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan now submitted to the State Council for final approval.
