"Gode Wind 1 and Gode Wind 2 are our second and third project in Germany. We have inaugurated Borkum Riffgrund 1, our first German wind park, last year," says Trine Borum Bojsen, managing director for Dong in Germany.
"The construction of such large projects brings positive scaling effects and thus contributes to lowering the cost of offshore wind power."
Construction of the twin wind parks some 45km off the German coast had started in April last year and continued in spite of difficult weather conditions.
