The tests, carried out by Romo and developer Vattenfall on Siemens 2.3MW turbines at the Nørrekær Enge wind farm in northern Denmark, compared power curve measurement results of a meterological mast, a nacelle lidar and the iSpin spinner anemometer.
Only the iSpin showed “reliable and replicable” measurements of the full 13-machine development, according to the companies.
