NYSERDA – a state entity based in New York's capital city of Albany – will be competing against a group of private developers that may include Deepwater Wind and EDF Renewable Energy for the much-coveted offshore zone, located 11 miles south of New York’s Long Island and capable of holding more than 700MW.
