The “North American Climate, Clean Energy, and Environment Partnership Action Plan” was unveiled in full on 29 June by US and Mexican presidents Barack Obama and Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, at the North American Leaders Summit in Ottawa, Canada.
As expected, the 50% “clean power” target is non-binding, and includes renewables, nuclear, carbon capture and storage, and energy-efficiency measures.
