Financial news agency Reuters said Senvion and GE are both preparing bids for Adwen, which is up for grabs under the terms of the merger deal agreed by Siemens and Gamesa.
French power technology group Areva – which owns Adwen in a 50/50 joint venture with Gamesa – has a three month window from mid-June in which to find a buyer for its share, with the right to extend the sale to include Gamesa's stake as well.
