Iberdrola reassures on Brexit impact as UK wind dip hits profits

The UK loomed large in Iberdrola’s half-year earnings presentation to financial analysts, who questioned how the country’s vote to leave the EU will affect the group’s significant operations there – especially in the light of a plunging pound.

Via its ScottishPower utility unit the Spanish company operates 1.5GW of onshore wind in the UK, and has emerged as a significant offshore player – most notably through its 714MW East Anglia 1 project.
