The word “new” in the title was a cue to look into the future, as Brazil's government – which was to be confirmed following the end of impeachment process a day after the Round Table – has accelerated policy changes to reduce the role of the Brazilian National Development Bank (BNDES) as the principal financing agent for the renewables sector.
