Swedish energy group Vattenfall yesterday continued its winning run in Danish offshore wind tenders with success in Denmark’s 350MW near-shore auction. Its successful bid, equivalent to about €64/MWh, continued the recent downward trend of offshore wind power prices. However, the tender win comes with a big question mark because of the Danish government’s plan to withdraw support for near-shore wind as part of a recasting of renewables support – a change it needs support in Denmark’s parliament to enact.
