The consortium bidders in the tender, the fourth round of the Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) regime set up in 2009, are: Balfour Beatty Equitix, Dalmore Capital, Diamond Transmission Partners, Mari Energy Transmission and Transmission Capital Partners.
"The shortlist shows there is strong competition to own the link and the bidders will go through to the final stage of the tender where Ofgem will appoint the OFTO for this project," says the regulator.
