The company’s Cobscook Bay project, located off Eastport in water depths of 33 metres, is built around its 150kW TidGen device – development of which was underpinned by a $10m investment from the US Department of Energy (DoE).

In April, the Maine Public Utilities Commission gave the green-light to 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the project with the Central Maine Power Company, Bangor Hydro Electric (BHE) and Maine Public Service Company.
