China grid-connected a further 25.74GW of new wind and 26.8GW of solar last year to its rapidly expanding power production network, according to latest figures from the National Energy Administration (NEA) and China Electricity Council, further cementing the country’s position as the world’s largest renewables market

The government’s annual electricity industry report shows the country is now home to more than 210GW of wind power and almost 205GW of solar with the addition of the new capacity.
