Brazil’s National Development Bank (BNDES) has agreed a $100m credit line with the Japanese government and a group of the country’s banks that will finance renewable energy and other emissions-cutting projects.

The agreement was signed under the umbrella of a business pact called Global Action for Reconciling Economic Growth and Environmental Preservation (Green).

The financing line was provided by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Mizuho Bank and The Bank of Saga.
