Developers predict New York will blow past its 50% renewables target for 2030, in spite of ongoing challenges with transmission and permitting projects in the Empire State.
Two years ago New York adopted its ’50 by 30’ renewables target as it sought to compete with California and other states for clean-energy jobs and investment – initiating a recurring auction process for onshore projects and establishing one of the country’s highest offshore wind targets.
