Brazil contracted a total of 1.25GW of wind in its latest A-6 power tender at an average price of R$90.45 per MWh ($23.14/MWh), with EDPR and Voltalia among the confirmed winning bidders.
The average per-megawatt confirms the trend of prices below $30/MWh registered at the last auction in in April, when wind was procured at around $20.
The final price was 60% below the R$227/MWh cap price and 8% below the R$98.62/MWh
