European cable-maker NKT has won the turnkey delivery of transmission lines for the Mjøsa project, a scheme to upgrade the grid in the Hedmark and Oppland regions north of Oslo, Norway, to integrate more renewable power production.

The contractor will supply two 145kV alternating current (AC) lines of some 35km in length for the project, being developed around Lake Mjøsa by local power grid operator Eidsiva Nett.
