EDF Renewables has cut the ribbon at the UK’s Blyth offshore wind array and 49MW West Burton battery storage facility – two projects it said will help shape a clean-power future for Britain.

The 41.5MW Blyth development off Northeast England – commissioned earlier this year – features 8.3MW versions of MHI Vestas’ V164 machine, gravity-base foundations and 66kV export lines, making it one of the one most advanced deployments of offshore wind technology the sector has seen.
