Germany’s Innogy has signed a development deal with US solar developer Birdseye covering 440MW of future capacity, further expanding its presence in US renewables after last year acquiring a large development portfolio of wind projects from EverPower.
The two deals follow the founding in 2016 of Innogy Renewables US, based in Chicago, which is pursuing US offshore wind opportunities in addition to onshore renewables.
