Greece is poised to launch its first competitive auctions as it seeks to spur up to 2.6GW of wind and solar capacity.

The nation will hold series of tenders out to 2020, beginning on 2 July this year with an auction seeking 600MW split between each source.

That process will aim to procure 300MW of onshore wind power with a cap price of €90/MWh ($108/MWh), the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (HWEA) told Recharge.
