A series of high-profile former government and business leaders, and the head of the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) have been announced as members of the newly formed Global Commission on the Geopolitics of Energy Transformation.
The group was originally launched in January with support of Germany, Norway and the United Arab Emirates, and met for the first time during the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue earlier this week to establish a roadmap towards the development of an authoritative report to be released during the next Irena assembly in Abu Dhabi in January 2019.
