Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has urged the UK government to do more to protect the renewable energy sector from the threats posed by Brexit.

Sturgeon told the Scottish Renewables annual conference in Edinburgh that Westminster should protect the industry, and address such issues as the free movement of labour and how the sector will access innovation funding.

“If we are taken out of the single market, it will hinder our supply chain and reduce our skills base,” warned the First Minister.
