Germany’s federal network agency BNetzA has launched the country’s first technology-neutral tendering round for 200MW of onshore wind or solar power, with a price ceiling of €88.40 per megawatt hour ($109.60/MWh) for both technologies.

Interested developers can hand in their bids by 3 April, 2018.

In principle, wind and solar projects will compete directly, with the lowest generation cost the deciding factor.
