Brazil’s federal government is preparing to hold two tenders in 2018, in addition to the one already announced for April that will likely include wind and solar power.

The first process, known as an A-4 tender, will contract power through 20-year PPAs starting in January 2022,

The government also said it is finalising planning for an A-6 tender, which will contract power from conventional and renewable power for delivery starting in 2024, and for an Alternative Energy Tender, which will contract only renewables.
