Clean-energy pacesetter solar and other renewables will continue to need government support in many parts of the world, despite the plunging power prices seen in recent auctions, said the head of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The IEA’s latest report on renewables said PV is set to be the “star” of a growth trajectory that will see clean generation sources add almost one terawatt of capacity globally by 2022.
