From the offices of the Association of Dutch Suppliers in the Oil and Gas Industry and Offshore Renewable Energy (IRO) in Rotterdam you can see a single turbine standing tall in the city’s centre – a low-capacity Enercon machine that supplies around 2,000 locals.
“People in Rotterdam hated it when it first went up,” says Sander Vergroesen, IRO’s managing director.
