Argentina's government has set progressive local content requirements that at least 35% of renewable energy equipment and some engineering services are sourced locally by 2020, reaching 50% by 2023.

The targets – which also include a mid-term 45% minimum local content for 2021 – are a requirement for investors to tap fiscal and tax benefits set in the 2015 Renewable Energy Law that significantly improve return on investments.
