European budget airline EasyJet is partnering with Wright Electric to support the US aircraft manufacturer’s ambition to design a fully electric commercial aircraft over the next decade.
Wright Electric also has the goal for every short flight to be zero-emissions within 20 years. It is aiming for an aircraft range of 540 kilometres (335 miles) which would cover 20% of passengers flown by EasyJet today.
