Three weeks after Brazil held a tender to de-contract unfinished generation projects, power regulator Aneel confirmed the cancellation of a further 219MW of wind and 30MW of solar plants that have not been built.
During its weekly board meeting Aneel board members voted to revoke licenses and execute guarantees on the wind and solar projects, as it returned to the normal process of flushing lame-duck developments out of the Brazilian power system.
