Argentina’s state oil company YPF plans to develop up to 600MW of renewable capacity by 2021 as part of the group’s strategy to supply all its operations via clean energy sources.

“By 2021 our demand is estimated to reach 600MW of capacity so we’ll target to produce as much power from renewables as we consume in the long-term,” Martin Mandarano, the general manager of the group’s power subsidiary YPF Energía Eléctrica (YPF-EE) told Recharge.
