India’s grid could support the 175GW of renewables planned by the country’s government "with minimal curtailment", according to a study co-produced by the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
The Indian power system is gearing up to support huge amounts of variable renewable capacity as the country chases the ambitious 2022 target, which includes 60GW of wind and 100GW of solar.
