Technology giant Apple will build a second 100%-renewable-powered data centre in Denmark, it was reported on Monday.

The US corporation will spend DKr6bn ($921m) on advancing the facility in southern Denmark to begin operations in 2019, said Reuters, quoting Apple Nordic manager Erik Stannow.

Stannow said “the reliability of the Danish grid is one of the main reasons we will operate two sites in Denmark”, according to the report.
