A rise in onshore and offshore wind output pushed the share of renewables in Germany’s electricity consumption to above its 2020 target of 35%, but the country may miss part of its wider 2020 renewables and climate targets as the energy transition stalls in the heating and transport sector, renewables federation BEE says.
