It’s ‘Energy Week’ at the White House, and developers of huge renewables-linked transmission projects have a clear message for the president: We’re here and we’re ready to go.

Over the past decade a generation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects has ripened across the US, and developers say that with a little push from Washington DC these projects could get over the finish line and swiftly unlock billions of dollars of private-sector-led investment into the country’s energy infrastructure.
