The revolution inside the European utility industry is almost complete.
At the annual meeting of the sector — which took place in the 40 degree heat of Portugal, with a deadly forest fire raging 200km away — there was barely a mention of the burning of fossil fuels. Every single session, debate and speech was focused on the energy transition — including the electrification of transport, heating and cooling.
