At a large slice of the sessions at the SolarPower Europe Summit in Brussels this week, PV was barely mentioned as panellists and delegates discussed and debated the energy transition and Europe’s forthcoming energy market design.

For those not in the know, the European Commission (EC) — supported by member states and the European Parliament — plan to fundamentally change the way that electricity is bought and sold in the EU to allow more renewables onto the grid at the expense of polluting fossil fuels.
