Construction of the first SWT-6.0-154 turbine, which features 75-meter-long blades – currently the longest in the world – and a lightweight 200 tonne nacelle, follows erection of a version of the machine with a 120-metre rotor in May 2011 at the Siemens’ Høvsore test site.
