Narec has applied for a development permit for the 100MW Blyth Offshore Wind Demonstration Site (BOWDS), which will have 15 pre-consented “pods” arranged in three arrays in water depths ranging from 38 metres to 57 metres.

The test facility is expected to cost £333m ($523m).
